The Rappahannock Emergency Medical Services Council is honored to celebrate our Board of Directors President, Kevin Dillard, on his appointment to the Virginia State Board of Health.
For 37 years, Kevin has been an instrumental leader at REMS, and his unwavering dedication to emergency services and community health has made a lasting impact on Virginia's public safety landscape. Kevin also holds leadership positions as VAFR Life Member, Symposium Chair, and Hall of Fame Committee Chair, where he continues to advance training excellence and professional recognition throughout the state. His previous role as Chairman of the Governor's EMS Advisory Board positioned him as a trusted voice in shaping emergency medical services policy and strategic direction.
The State Board of Health carries significant responsibility for safeguarding public health across Virginia, from regulating environmental health and medical services to advancing disease prevention education, administering essential grant programs, developing public health regulations, coordinating emergency response efforts, and providing counsel to the Governor and General Assembly on health policy and resource allocation. Kevin's depth of knowledge in emergency medical services and public health governance will bring tremendous value to this critical work.
From all of us at REMS - our staff, Board leadership, and the emergency services agencies throughout our region - we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Kevin and express our gratitude for his exceptional service.
It is an honor to see him representing our field at this level of state leadership.
Strong work!
