How to Increase EMS Medicaid Reimbursements

Over the past 10 years a wide variety of initiatives have been established to help EMS agencies make up the difference between their ever-growing costs and low Medicaid reimbursement rates. PCG will provide an overview of the various Medicaid revenue enhancement programs in existence and describe the nuances between all program types. Hear from an EMS agency and a state-level organization about their experiences and the impact of implementing a revenue enhancement program. During this webinar the attendee will: • Learn about the various Medicaid revenue enhancement programs available, including Supplemental Payments (GEMT, ASPP, PEMT) and Provider Assessments. • Identify what Medicaid reimbursement opportunities are currently available for your EMS agency/department in your state. • Learn how to initiate a program in your state and/or expand upon an existing program to optimize Medicaid reimbursement. • Recognize the challenges and benefits of implementing a Medicaid revenue enhancement program. The webinar will offer 1 hour of approved CAPCE continuing education credit (CE). Information on how to obtain the CE will be provided in an email following the webinar. In order to receive CE credits, you must participate in the live webinar by joining through the “Join Webinar” link as your device IP address validates your participation. After joining the webinar, you may connect to the audio through either the computer audio or the phone. Participation in the live webinar is required to receive CAPCE credit. Audio participation alone does not qualify.
