The Virginia Ambulance Association is hosting an informational session in partnership with Palmetto GBA, the regional Medicare Administrative Contractor on July 22, 2021 in conjunction with our quarterly VAA membership meeting. Kathy Boehm, Senior Provider Relations Representative in Provider Outreach and Education will review current Medicare post-payment review efforts for ambulance services and share compliance tips. The following topics will be covered:
- Responding to Medicare medical record requests
- Common errors, identified during post-payment reviews
- Tips and reminders for self-audits
- Top reasons for claim denials and rejections
- Physician Certification Statement reminders
- Roundtable discussion
- PCS
