ALS providers - please note the attached updated EMS Medication Shortage memo from Mary Washington Healthcare.  Their Pharmacies have indicated the Solu-Medrol Act-O-Vials are on shortage with no release date.  They will be stocking the EMS Pyxis and Med Boxes with Powder Vials that will require sterile water for mixing.  Please follow the instructions on the Powder Vial.

This week the Pharmacy will begin stocking sterile water vials in the EMS Pyxis machines for use with the powder vials.  You will select “Water for Injection” once that is stocked.  In the meantime, please request a sterile water vial from the Nursing Med Room if needed.
